Head North to Petoskey, its just 39 miles away. Or, head South to Traverse City for the Cherry Festival, its only 38 miles away. Better yet, head West to Torch Lake which is only 21 miles away. East is your destination, no problem, Gaylord is only 21 miles. As you can probably notice, we are right in the middle of all the major areas of North West Michigan. Take off in the morning and do day trips to all the surrounding beautiful towns and then come back to the quiet retreat of WPRVRESORT.

Wanna bring your boat? Go ahead, you can park it in front of our registration building for FREE. Get up, grab your boat, and head to the lake to take in the beautiful waters. Watch some eagles and catch a fish or two. Come back, have a fire, and tell fish stories of the day.
Got a taste for some fermented grapes?
Did you know that Michigan is known world wide for their Riesling wines? Did you know that Michigan is one of the top concord grape growers in the US? Would you like to taste all the different types of wines of Michigan? Stay with WPRVRESORT and go and do tastings at one of the many wineries in the area. Be daring and try some Ice Wine, it will cure any sweet tooth.
Car Shows, Air Shows, Festivals, Art, Film, Farmers Markets, and many many more events and activities go on endlessly during our camping season all around us. Come for a day, a week, or a month and you cannot see it all. There is so much to do in NW Michigan during the camping season that you could completely wear yourself out. It’s okay, you can always take a day off and just take in nature because, as we mentioned, we are right in the middle of all things in NW Michigan.
